Tash Sultana has opened fire on One Nation leader and noted Donald Trump supporter Pauline Hanson, following some dodgy comments the former fish & chip shop owner made about the women’s marches taking place around the globe.
ICYMI: hundreds of thousands of women (and men) have been taking part in mass peaceful demonstrations across many international cities, protesting the new US President and the rights and values they say are being threatened by his policies.
In an extraordinary rant against the marches taking place here in Australia — which themselves drew crowds of thousands — Hanson essentially trashed the demonstrators as overweight “clowns”.
“It’s good that they were out and about and doing a bit of walking because it looked like a few of them needed to get a bit of sun and do a bit of exercise,” the senator snarked in a Facebook post alongside a video from the Brisbane event (below).
“Don’t these clowns have anything else better to do with their time other than to hold sad, anti-democracy protests?”
In a follow-up tweet, Hanson then inexplicably questioned why there wasn’t a women’s march for Islamic women.
“I want you to ask yourself- Where is the #WomensMarch to protest the suffering of women in countries under the rule of Islamic Extremists?” she tweeted, which was seemingly the last straw for Tash Sultana.
The multi-instrumental tunesmith fired back at Hanson, tweeting: “If there is a possibility that you will see this Pauline Hanson, can you actually just retire already because man I just don’t understand your bullshit and to be quite frank I think we all just want you to go home now.”

Hanson has yet to reply to Tash’s lashing, which has since been deleted from the Twitterverse.
Meanwhile, Safe Cycling Australia deserve some props for their own scathing retort: “You mean the same women you want to ban from seeking asylum in Australia. Your fake concern is as pathetic as you are.”
#Burn.
