The next target of Taylor Swift’s ongoing project to re-record her first six albums is 1989. Swift got the ball rolling on the 1989 reboot in September 2021 when she shared ‘Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)’. The US pop singer has now released ‘This Love (Taylor’s Version)’.
The original 1989 came out in 2014 and featured the singles ‘Shake It Off’, ‘Bad Blood’, ‘Blank Space’, ‘Style’ and the aforementioned ‘Wildest Dreams’. ‘This Love’ is notable for being the only track on 1989 for which Swift receives the sole songwriting credit.
Elsewhere on 1989, Swift worked with Swedish guns for hire Max Martin, Shellback and Mattman & Robin, and noted pop writer/producers Ryan Tedder, Greg Kurstin and Jack Antonoff. Swift co-produced ‘This Love (Taylor’s Version)’ with Chris Rowe, who played an integral role in giving life to Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version), both of which came out in 2021.
