Taylor Swift Thanks Fans For Reception To ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ With Meredith Update

It’s been just over a week since we received Taylor Swift’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version). The re-recorded album is iconic, with songs taken from Swift’s vault of unreleased Fearless era material.

Of course, the album has done extremely well, including topping the ARIA charts. It marks her eighth #1 on the album charts and her third #1 album in the span of a year.

The achievement leaves her sitting just behind Madonna for the number of top albums in the chart. Madonna has eleven.

“WELL WELL WELL,” writes Swift on Instagram. “You all really went out and left my greatest expectations in shambles this week.

“Word on the street is you made ‘Fearless (my version)’ the biggest country album first week of the last 6 years and the top release of 2021 so far.

“Honestly??? How?? Did I get this lucky????”

She then reveals that as her way of saying thank you she’s, “addressing a very pressing issue.”

“We’ve been hearing some rumours on the internet recently. I mean, they’re not about you Benj, but they’re about your sister,” says Swift.

A collage of tweets demanding to know the whereabouts of Swift’s cat, Meredith appear in the video.

The screen reads, “The truth is Meredith just HATES having her picture taken.”

Proof of Meredith’s distaste for the camera is provided as well.

“So there it is. There you have it. That’s the explanation. She’s just a really private little cat,” says Swift.

“She likes her business kept to herself, she doesn’t like having a camera shoved in her face, and who can blame her?”

Enjoy a glimpse of Meredith below.

Folklore, evermore, and now Fearless (Taylor’s Version) have each charted #1 in the last 12 months. Taylor Swift is the first artist to achieve this.

There’s also just 17 weeks between evermore and Fearless (Taylor’s Version) falling into that top spot. Meaning she’s also broken the record for the fewest weeks between number one albums.
