Taylor Swift‘s award shelf/room/house is probably looking a little bland with all the Grammys she’s won, so now it looks like she’s ready for her Academy Award with news that she’s starring in David O. Russell’s new film.
As Deadline reports, Swift is part of a massive ensemble cast which includes Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Zoe Saldana, Rami Malek, Robert DeNiro, Chris Rock, Mike Myers, Anya Taylor-Joy and more. See? Massive.
But, much like any Swift album, the details of the film are being kept tightly under wraps. We don’t even know the basic story, or even the title.
However, David O. Russell’s filmography will give you a good idea of what you can expect. The five time Oscar nominee directed films like American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook and Joy.
The film will also be Swift’s first major acting role since she appeared in 2019’s Cats, the release of which should’ve really given us a hint about the unprecedented hell we were all about to endure in the following year.
Earlier this week, Swift broke the US record for highest vinyl sales in one week, after she sold over 40,000 copies of her latest record Evermore.
