UPDATE 9/11/16: Teenage Fanclub have added a second and final Melbourne show
ORIGINAL STORY: Teenage Fanclub were already heading to our shores next year, but they’ve just announced a pair of east coast headlining tour dates for their troubles.
In addition to their previously announced appearances at Victoria’s Golden Plains festival and Sydney’s Taronga Zoo, the Scottish alt-rock veterans will now be performing headlining shows in Brisbane and Melbourne.
It marks the band’s first Aussie headlining tour in more than a decade — the last time they did us the honour was back in 2005.
Teenage Fanclub will return to our shores following the release of their acclaimed 10th studio album, Here, which was released earlier this year. Not to mention a massive back catalogue spanning decades.
And joining the crew at their Brisbane and Sydney shows will be homegrown three-piece The Goon Sax, who just released their debut album Up To Anything.
