Canada’s Tegan And Sara are in the country right now for Splendour In The Grass (plus a few sideshows), but it seems it won’t be long until they’re back in the country for a full-blown tour.
Tegan And Sara played a Splendour sideshow in Melbourne last night, where they told the crowd just before the encore that they are looking to tour Australia in March 2017, however, details are still sketchy at this stage.
Music Feeds contributor Brenton Harris, who reviewed the Melbourne show, says the tentative Aussie tour tease was an off-the-cuff remark, although it will come as welcome news to anybody who missed the Quin twins this time around.
Tegan And Sara’s recent Aussie setlists have melded together both their old and new hits, so if you catch them when they return next year you’re likely to be satisfied no matter what part of their career you’ve followed them for.
The duo are currently touring off the back of their eighth album Love You To Death, which was released earlier this year. It’s their second record with Greg Kurstin, who has produced for people like Sia and Lily Allen ,and once again saw them head towards the world of anthemic pop. It’s also the first album since their 2013 record Heartthrob which was their first proper venture into the pop world.
Tegan And Sara play their final Splendour In The Grass sideshow in Sydney tonight. Catch all the details right here and Music Feeds‘ review of their Melbourne show, here.
