girl in red‘s 2024 Australian headline tour just got spicier with the addition of Telenova as the main support act at all shows. The Naarm/Melbourne alt-pop three-piece will be joining the Norwegian alt-pop superstar at venues in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this July.
Tickets to the tour are on sale now, with the Brisbane leg already sold out.
Telenova – ‘Power’
Hot on the heels of releasing her sophomore album I’M DOING IT AGAIN BABY! earlier this year, Marie Ulven, the woman behind the girl in red project, announced a four-date Australian headline tour to fill the Splendour In The Grass-shaped hole in her July itinerary.
The new 10-song LP chronicles Ulven’s past few years of feeling confusingly frustrated, despite racking up commercial and critical acclaim, major festival appearances and millions upon millions of streams.
“The past five years have been so insane, and that I’ve been given this opportunity is insane,” Ulven explains in a press statement. “But I think what’s really hitting me now is that I need to pursue music fully, and that’s something I want to do with this record. I just want to go all in on girl in red in 2024. I’m at a point where I’m willing to fly.”
