Tex Perkins & The Ape, British India & More To Play Prince Bandroom’s Australia Day Party

St Kilda’s Prince Bandroom will host a special one-off gig on Australia Day 2015, featuring performances from Tex Perkins & The Ape, British India, Harts and The Cherry Dolls.

Tex Perkins & The Ape, consisting of Raul Sanchez of Magic Dirt, Gus Agars of The Dark Horses, Pat Bourke and of course Perkins himself on guitar and vocals, released their self-titled debut album as The Ape in 2013, and backed it up with an east coast tour. The group also played two dates in May this year.

Local boys British India recently toured in support of the Rolling Stones, and just completed their own headline tour through October and November. Fellow Melburnians musos Harts and rockers The Cherry Dolls are also prepped to play the Prince Bandroom’s Australia Day Party, which will also see other special guests in attendance.

The Prince Bandroom’s Australia Day event will take place on Monday, 26th January 2015. An Australia Day barbeque will take place on the venue’s balcony from 4pm to 7pm on the day. Ticket details are available below.
