That TikTok Ratatouille Musical Is Coming To Broadway

It’s not even been a month since TikTok users collaboratively transformed the Pixar movie Ratatouille into a broadway musical. Now, the rat-themed musical is going to be adapted to Broadway for a New Year’s Day release.

Seaview Productions have announced Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical will be a livestream event.

“At the height of the pandemic, while Broadway remains shuttered, a phenomenon has emerged from the hearts and minds of millions of TikTokers,” said organisers.

“Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical uniquely lets Gen Z know that Broadway is watching and they are seen: as creators, as fans, and as future audiences.

“This event provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to harness this extraordinary outpouring of creativity and galvanize the energy behind this viral moment to create an unexpected, unprecedented, landmark response.”

You can pick up tickets to the musical from $5. It premieres on Friday, 1st January at 7pm EST (10am AEST).

The production will be available to purchase from the company’s On Demand offering for 72 hours following the premiere.

Em Jaccs tweeted about the musical, which hopefully means her very special Ratatouille song will be included. It’s the one that kicked the TikTok craze off.
