Mat. McHugh of The Beautiful Girls is announcing a national tour in support of his new EP Go Don’t Stop starting at The Palais at the end of this month.
After returning from an extensive world tour with The Beautiful Girls, McHugh headed straight to the states to join John Butler on another tour, but this time he was leaving the band behind. He was stripped back raw for the first time in many years, playing songs from the Morning Sun days through to now. The Music was stripped back to the essential of voice and guitar, “melodies and a human heart”. Back in touch with his roots he came home and over the next few months lay down most of what would become his new solo album which is due out later in the year.
He’ll be previewing songs from the EP Go Don’t Stop Tour setting off in Victoria and winding his way around the country to finish up in Sydney. You can check out the video for the title track from the EP below, along with a list of upcoming dates.
