The Belair Lip Bombs have announced an extensive east-coast Australian tour, set to take place between August and September 2024. The tour, dubbed the ‘Jerry Can & A Van’ tour, will see the Melbourne rock act enlist a variety of up-and-coming Australian bands across each leg. The full run of dates, as well as their specific line-ups and ticketing information, can be found below.
The tour will begin in the band’s hometown of Melbourne with a show in The Curtin’s bandroom, where they will be joined by Sunfruits, Underlay and Holly Hebe. It will end with the band’s appearance at this year’s Bigsound, where they will be joined by four bands from the tour: Sydney’s Mac the Knife, Canberra’s Sonic Reducer and the Wollongong bands Hoon and Private Wives.

The remaining bands partaking in the tour are Wollongong dream-pop band Sesame Girl and Melbourne-based post-punk quintet Mr. Industry. All nine bands will tag in and out of the tour, with The Belair Lip Bombs headlining each show. A breakdown of which band will play which show can be found below.
The Belair Lip Bombs released their debut album Lush Life in August 2023. Since then, the band have toured extensively – including supporting The Living End at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne for the band’s 25th anniversary show for their debut self-titled album. They are currently on tour supporting Hockey Dad on their Rebuild Repeat national tour, which is soon to be joined by American band Militarie Gun playing their first-ever Australian shows.
