Brisbane indie-pysch rockers The Belligerents continue to kick dicks in 2015, coming off the back of a couple of killer singles as well as a Like a Version cover of Fatboy Slim’s Praise You, which won praise from the big man himself, today announcing a brand new EP due later this year.
The five-piece, who will also be hitting up this year’s Bigsound music conference, dropped tasty new single Looking At You earlier this week which bass player Konstantin Kersting says pushes the group into deeper sonic realms.
“We’ve continually been trying to expand sonically as a band and I hope that shows on this new single. When we were in the studio this time round we had a lot of time to actually ‘think’ about the sounds, rather than just sticking to the stuff we’ve been doing all along. We experimented with lots of different keyboards, amps and pedals and tried to make it as aurally appealing to the listener as possible.”
The groups new EP will land in October ahead of a couple of summer festival appearances, including Festival of the Sun in Port Macq, grab all the deets and ticket links below!
