90’s alt legends The Breeders have announced a string of Australian headline shows for this October, playing their seminal album Last Splash in its entirety. The Kim Deal-fronted 4-piece were already confirmed to headline All Tomorrow’s Parties‘ Release The Bats festival in Melbourne but now Sydney, Brisbane and Perth will be getting a taste of the Cannonball rockers.
The Breeders have been through their fair share of line-up changes since forming in 1990 as a Pixies side project. For this tour, they’ve reunited the 1993 Last Splash roll call of Kim Deal, her twin sister Kelley Deal on guitar, Jim Macpherson on drums, and bassist Josephine Wiggs, and will be playing the record in full as well as delving into the depths of their awesome back catalogue. The band will also release a deluxe edition of Last Splash titled LSXX, which includes previously unreleased tracks, original demos and private photos.
The Handsome Tours pre-sale kicks off at 12:00pm AEST Monday, 22nd April. General public tickets are on sale 12:00pm AEST Tuesday, 23rd April from Handsome Tours.
