After more back and forth between promoters and management, The Game has once again reissued his Australian tour itinerary and, we’ll tell you what, it couldn’t have come any sooner – tonight’s show in Sydney and tomorrow’s in Newcastle have been postponed, with the first date on the tour now kicking off this Thursday, 29th August in Coffs Harbour.
As you may have read, the Jesus Piece tour has been an object of frustration for just about everyone involved, from potential ticket holders, to actual ticket holders, to promoters and management and The Game himself. Last Wednesday, the entire tour was scrapped for a brief period of time after management lost their cool at the tour’s Australian promoters, Hip Hop TV, though the following morning things were back on track with just a couple or rescheduled dates. Until they were apparently derailed again. Sigh.
Judging by the comments on social media, fans are pretty pissed about how the tour’s been handled, with some turning up to the previously rescheduled dates unaware that they had been cancelled. Until earlier this morning, many had no idea when or where The Game would be playing or, for that matter, IF he would be touring Australia at all. As pointed out by one cranky punter, the man himself was in the States attending baseball game just yesterday.
The new tour dates have been confirmed for the past 6 hours, a relatively long time for this tour. There’s still no official word whether tickets sold to rescheduled dates will be honoured, but if you’re willing to give The Game and Hip Hop TV the benefit of the doubt, tickets for the new dates are available via http://www.dashtickets.com.au/tour/thegame
UPDATE: The Game has further amended his touring plans, announcing a new venue for the Wollongong show on Saturday, 7th September as well as dates for Coffs Harbour and Perth. Details below.
