Following news that Peter Blackie Black was the victim of a cowardly bashing, word has come through that the band will be cancelling all of their up-coming shows bar Sydney and Newcastle. At these shows all the money from the door will be donated to assist Blackie.
Hard-Ons plan on going ahead with a set at the Annandale Hotel (Friday, 1st June) and Great Northern, Newcastle (Saturday, 2nd June). This time, however, the lineup will be Murray Ruse (Drums), Pete Kostic (Drums), Ray Ahn (Bass), Keish de Silva (lead guitar, vocals).
There will also be a benefit gig at the Sando in Sydney on May 23, a night that was booked for Blackie to perform but will instead be used to raise funds to assist with his medical expenses.
This will be a once-off lineup for the band, and a great opportunity to support a band who have influenced many musicians both here and abroad.
