Mekka Fest is returning to Brisbane this August and organisers have given us a first glimpse of the 2023 lineup. Brisbane indie-pop darlings The Jungle Giants are headlining. Local rapper Lisi is also on deck, alongside Brissie EDM act Odd Mob. Murray “Red Wiggle” Cook is locked in for a DJ set.
It’s going down on Saturday, 19th August at Doomben Racecourse, the home of Brisbane Racing Club. The one-day event will run across four stages, with the event organisers promising more of “Brisbane’s best DJs and bands.”
The Jungle Giants – ‘Trippin Up’
Last year’s Mekka Fest was a mix of live racing and live music, featuring performances from Stace Cadet, Wongo, Day1 and more. Organisers have yet to comment on whether this year’s event will also include live racing.
Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but you can sign up for early bird tickets here.
