The Killers’ Brandon Flowers Reckons An Aussie Muso Had The Best Album Of 2016

Brandon Flowers, frontman of Las Vegas rockers The Killers, has tapped an Australian artist for putting out his favourite album of 2016. What’s more, it looks like the Aussie in question might be currently collaborating with Flowers and his band over in the US.

Taking to Twitter, The Killers first asked fans if it was too late for Flowers to offer his thoughts on 2016’s Album Of The Year, but they probably didn’t need to ask:

A little later, the band shared a photo of Sydney artist Alex Cameron‘s album Jumping The Shark, complete with the caption “#handsdown”.

Since The Killers posted their tweets, Cameron has posted a photo of himself with Flowers (and Cameron’s “saxophonist and business partner” Roy Molloy) in Las Vegas, complete with the caption “Vegas was a nug”:

Cameron has also posted a bunch of Vegas-related tweets recently, which makes it seem like he might currently be collaborating with The Killers…

…and then there was this gem:

Cameron, who’s also part of electronic trio Seekae, actually released Jumping The Shark on his website back in 2013, but the record only copped a US release last year thanks to the label Secretly Canadian.

The Killers released their latest album Battle Born back in 2012, so is Cameron collaborating with Flowers and company on some juicy new music? Only time will tell.
