The Killers have unveiled three new songs during what has been described as a ‘storming’ comeback performance by NME.
The band played an intimate show in Asheville, North Carolina last night – their first in support of their forthcoming album Battle Born, which is out September 17.
After opening the show with brand new single Runaways, the band played three songs from the forthcoming album amongst a setlist of their greatest hits.
The new tracks were: Rising Tide – described as ‘a stomping dance track’, Miss Atomic Bomb – inspired by 1950s Las Vagas nuclear testing parties, and Flesh and Bone – which opened the encore.
Fan Ben Azadi, from Miami Beach, Florida told NME he absolutely loved the new tracks. “The new material gave me goosebumps. They sound heavier, more like they did on ‘Sam’s’ Town, which is still my favourite album. I’m seeing them headline the X Festival this weekend, so it was rare seeing them in an intimate setting like this.”
