Early this year, we learned that The Killers had locked in plans for their fourth studio album. At the time, several ideas had been thrown around; however, it looks as though the band has settled on the title Battle Born – the namesake being the studio in which it was produced, as well as the nickname for their home state of Nevada.
During an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, frontman Brandon Flowers explained: “In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better”.
This will be the band’s latest release since 2008’s Day & Age. The band has been very open about their latest release with drummer Ronnie Vannucci confessing that this has been “the difficult fourth album” for the group. The album was put together by the same team behind Madonna and Take That, and includes Stuart Price, Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor and Brendan O’Brien.
The release date has been guestimated around North America’s fall, which looks as though it will be in our hand around September!
