The Killers have postponed pre-sale and general ticket sales in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. At this stage, the tour dates themselves remain the same.
In a statement shared on social media, The Killers said that tickets won’t be going on sale just yet.
“The news is changing every hour around coronavirus and, ultimately, we want you, our fans, to stay focused on prevention and remaining safe and cautious right now,” they said.
“In addition, once we go on sale, we will be providing a portion of our ticketing income to local organisations who help people whose services industry jobs are impacted by the coronavirus in each of our tour cities,” continued the statement.
“We are taking this personally. Both we and our families have had these jobs and our hearts go out to those affected.”
The Killers wrapped up the statement saying, “If anything changes again, we’ll let you know; in the meantime, we’re more excited than ever to sing these new songs with you, and can’t wait to see you soon.”
The tour was announced just last week. It’s set to kick off in Brisbane in November later this year.

The coronavirus outbreak has seen a list of tours and festivals be cancelled or postponed. Sydney’s Vivid Festival, Bluesfest, and Record Store Day are the latest events to fall victim.
