The Living End‘s manager Rae Harvey wasn’t a fan of Matt Hetherington‘s performance of the band’s hit White Noise on The Voice tonight.
In a reply to a tweet from yours truly, Harvey said she didn’t think Matt did a respectable job of the song in the first live performance episode of the Channel 9 ratings smash.
@keggs87 @thelivingendaus Must be honest here – I don’t think he did the song justice.

However, suprisingly, the band themselves – or whoever operates their Twitter account – didn’t think it was that bad.
Big shout out to Matt for the killer rendition of White Noise on #TheVoiceAU

Most of the fans on the band’s Facebook page weren’t as kind though – with several describing it as “s**t”, and Michael Collins saying “Unfortunately, it was more like Shite Noise”. Daryl Pearce went as far as to say: “Call the homicide squad, a song has been murdered”.
