The band’s long awaited debut album Lands is released this Friday 9 April via MGM and it’s already received high rotation on FBi Radio, and feature album status on RTR FM, Edge Radio, and SYN FM.
From the press release:
Following spell binding shows with Pivot in Sydney and Melbourne, TTT is now gearing up for an extensive album launch tour throughout May.
Catch TTT (formerly Tic Toc Tokyo) on Saturday 1st May at Northcote Social Club in Melbourne, Wednesday 5th May as part of Gangbusters at Bar 32 in Canberra, Thursday 6th May at the Excelsior Hotel in Sydney, Thursday 13th May at The Clubhouse in Brisbane, and Friday 21st May at the Rocket Bar in Adelaide.
Following the release of the album’s first single ‘Animal’, which was awarded ‘Single of the Week’ by Beat Magazine and received rotation on FBi Radio, Lands sees TTT taking an experimental approach to its sound.
Using a range of new instrumentation (drum machine, trumpet, clarinet & multiple percussion), the album skilfully retains the band’s strong sense of energy, melody and dynamics, moving from groove-driven jams to heavy abrasion, deconstructive pop, percussive breakdowns, and dark atmospherics.
