The Prodigy Announce Australian Headline Show

English electronica stalwarts The Prodigy are set to play an exclusive Sydney sideshow in March, when they’re in town to headline Future Music Festival. The performance at Sydney’s Luna Park will be the influential group’s only Australian headline show during the Future tour.

The Prodigy trio of Liam Howlett, Maxim Reality and Keith Flint were last in the country for Future Music Festival back in 2013, and also performed a sole Sydney sideshow during that tour. It seems there’s a cruel, cruel pattern forming here.

Lucky Sydneysiders are in for a huge night when The Prodigy headline their own stage after Future has wrapped up for the year. The group are renowned for their epic live shows, and will be performing material from their forthcoming sixth album The Day Is My Enemy, which is due for release on 27th March and see its live debut at Future.

The Prodigy’s latest single, Nasty (below) is a taste of the album, which will surely be just as relentless and vitriolic as previous full-length offerings. Older tunes are sure to get a run during the trio’s Future tour as well, including perennial bangers such as Voodoo People, Breathe, Firestarter and Smack My Bitch Up.

When The Prodigy perform at Future, they’ll headline a festival lineup which also includes the likes of Drake, Avicii, Hilltop Hoods and Darude. The group’s Sydney headline show will take place at the Big Top at Sydney’s Luna Park on Wednesday, 11th March. Details below.
