Having captured the hearts and minds of many an Australian music lover through previous tours Down Under, the great Reverend Horton Heat will be making their way back down in 2013 for a fairly extensive run of shows, each sure to be more reckless than the last.
Since 1985, The Reverend and co have left a trail of devastation across the globe, with their unique brand of punk, country, blues and good time hillbilly rock ‘n’ roll all coming together to create their signature psychobilly style, just about all over the world. Fast forward to 2013 and the band have maintained the hard-earned reputation as one of the greatest bands of their ilk to emerge from that era – and judging by the size of these tour dates, they’re eager to hold onto that title.
The band will be stopping by most major cities, with a couple of regionals, and even a few shows in Hobart. You’ll be short of breath just thinking about that run, but for high-octane gentlemen of the rockabilly persuasion, it’s nothin’. The good Reverend is about to preach his stories of sex, drugs, booze and cars, and y’all better be paying attention.
Tickets on sale Thursday, 21st March.
