Weekly live-streaming series The State of Music will return for its fifth episode this Friday night (29th May), with a lineup that includes the likes of Something for Kate, The Rubens and Mansionair, to name a few.
If you’re not across it yet, The State of Music is a collaboration between Mushroom Group and the Victorian Government’s Victoria Together initiative. The program, which has been running every week since its launch earlier this month, features performances from some of the country’s most beloved acts along with local up-and-coming artists.
Past episodes have included the likes of Paul Kelly, Alex Lahey, Montaigne, Gordi and many, many more. Last weekend featured a particularly magical performance from The Teskey Brothers inside Melbourne’s iconic National Gallery of Victoria, which you can check out below.

This week’s episode will also see performances from Odette, Fergus James, Lime Cordiale, Abby Dobson, D’arcy Spiller, Jade Macrae, Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows, Mitch King, Nic Cester & The Milano Elettrica.
