The Smith Street Band Have Launched Their Own ‘I Love Life’ Festival

Melbourne group The Smith Street Band have been announced as headliners of I Love Life, a new mini-festival co-presented by their longtime label Poison City Records, which will hit Brisbane and Sydney this September.

I Love Life will be co-curated by the band, and will take some inspiration from Poison City Records’ annual Melbourne music festival, Poison City Weekender.

I Love Life has already locked in a lineup which features the likes of Phoenix folk-punk band Andrew Jackson Jihad and fellow Americans Modern Baseball, Iron Chic and The Sidekicks.

Sydney indie punks Oslow will perform in both Brisbane and Sydney, with Sydney’s Hannahband and Brisbane’s Walken playing in their home cities.

To coincide with the announcement of I Love Life, The Smith Street Band have dropped a new live video for their track I Love Life (below), which was shot at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel in late 2014.

The 2015 Poison City Weekender will feature most of this year’s I Love Life acts, and will take place in early September.
