Nick Valensi of The Strokes and Brody Dalle, aka Mrs Josh Homme, are making beautiful music together.
The Strokes guitarist and The Distillers and Spinnerette frontwoman’s collaboration has come to light via Instagram, with Dalle posting a photo of Valensi with the caption “Thank you Nicky Valensi for the radass guitar”.
Valensi’s wife, photographer Amanda de Cadenet, then reposted the picture, adding “My man making music with my BFF Brody”. There’s no official confirmation as to whether the fruits of their labours will ever see the light of day but NME report the duo are working on Dalle’s forthcoming solo album.
Dalle, who’s been pretty quiet since Spinnerette’s 2009 eponymously titled full-length debut, is also confirmed as one of the bajillion guests to appear on the new Queens Of The Stone Age record …Like Clockwork.
Valensi’s main gig in The Strokes released their fifth studio album Comedown Machine last month.
