The Tea Party Are Bringing Their Orchestral Show To Australia For The First Time Next Year

UPDATE 09/12/16: The Tea Party have added a second Australian show in Sydney with the Sydney Youth Orchestra.

Canadian trio and mainstays of the international rock community The Tea Party were only just in town celebrating the 20th anniversary of their seminal album The Edges Of Twilight, but now the band have announced a special one-off show with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at Hamer Hall in April 2017.

The band’s orchestral show was performed in Canada back in 2002, and now it’s coming to Australia for the very first time, and for one night only.

“Being approached to do this show with the MSO was an incredible honour,” says drummer Jeff Burrows. “Not only as a band member, but as a fan of great music, it’s exciting knowing that these phenomenal players will be bringing new life to all of these songs.”

The Edges Of Twilight dropped back in 1995, and was the second full-length album from The Tea Party. It was their first release to smash the charts, scoring a top 10 spot upon debut. Clearly, it’s worthy of a celebration, with the band hitting the venues across Australia last November to commemorate the release.
