State of Origin is just a couple of weeks away and now we have the entertainment lineup for the three games. Opening up the state v state affair on Wednesday, 9th June will be The Veronicas.
The Brisbane twins said, “As young girls growing up, we watched the State of Origin every year with our Dad, cheering on Queensland.”
“It’s a dream come true to play at this iconic sporting event. We know the vital role music plays in hyping and motivating audiences and players, so we intend to show Australia that two girls from Brisbane can do it loud and proud at the MCG.”
Sheppard will perform at Game II at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium. It’ll go ahead on Sunday, 27th June.
And Game III is set to be massive, with both JK-47 and Lime Cordiale taking care of the pre-game entertainment. It’ll go ahead at Sydney’s Stadium Australia (previously known as ANZ Stadium) on Wednesday, 14th July.
The Veronicas are currently gearing up to release two new albums this year. The first, GODZILLA will arrive next Friday, 28th May.
The second will arrive Friday, 2nd July. They dropped ‘SUGAR DADDY’ last Friday.
Lime Cordiale are just getting around to touring their 2020 album 14 Steps To A Better You now. They performed live on The Set with Miiesha last Sunday, covering ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’.
The 2021 State of Origin will kick off Wednesday, 9th June.
