The Veronicas Release Statement Addressing Awkward Spat On ‘Celeb Apprentice’

The Veronicas are moving to clear the air following their appearance on the first episode of TV’s Celebrity Apprentice on Sunday night, releasing a statement following what appeared to be an awkward on-air tiff.

It all started following a challenge where the teams had to create and auction off a piece of “selfie-inspired art” (whatever that means).

Flash-forward to the Veronica’s confessional commentary, where the pair swiftly start bickering about the whole thing. After Lisa Origliasso fumbles her words, sister Jess snaps: “Can you just say it please? My patience is getting thin…”

Lisa snaps back: “I’m just letting you know something, you’re being a bit much”.

Then the pair continue to snark at each other (you can watch it all here via The Daily Mail). It’s hardly the “twin-sanity” that the goss rag proclaims it to be, but it is a bit awkward.

So yesterday, the twin sisters took to socials to set the record straight about what went down.

“We can’t believe we might actually need to preface this, but reality TV is highly edited out of ‘context’ to amplify drama and narrative that suits the agenda,” they wrote in a joint statement on The Veronicas Insta story.

“Please use common sense and understand this is obviously not a transparent show — it’s game show entertainment. The only ‘business’ in this show is the business of entertainment and drama. And because of that, a charity made 180k last night, which is the whole point here.”

Look, fair.

In other news concerning Australia’s favourite pop sorority, The Veronica’s are gearing up two release two albums — GODZILLA and HUMANS — in the coming weeks.

They’re also heading off on a monstrous mid-year tour and performing at this year’s State Of Origin opener.
