Playing for the first time as a three-piece, Craig Nicholls having sacked two thirds of his band in past days and hired a new drummer, the vines nevertheless delivered a stand-up set at today at Homebake.
Their set lying in the early afternoon, the band churned through their hits, with the fans coming out of their sunny slumber and running down the front to catch the show. They even threw in a massive cover of ms Jackson by outcast, casting back in this reviewer’s mind to the last time they played Big Day Out.
Nicholls, looking a little shaky on stage, was otherwise pretty confident, for him, the band outperforming their early slot.
