Roger Daltrey, the iconic lead singer of The Who, will be doing a number of Australian tour dates in April 2012 on the back of his appearance on Byron Bay’s Bluesfest 2012 line-up.
He’ll perform The Who’s legendary rock opera Tommy from start to finish (The Who never actually played the complete Tommy). Daltrey premiered the show at The Royal Albert Hall in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust on March 25th and has since toured it throughout the UK, US and Canada.
He’ll start off the tour at Byron Bay with a performance at Bluesfest on Monday 9th April, before heading south to Sydney with a show at the Enmore Theatre on Tuesday 12th April, then Canberra’s Royal Theatre on Sunday 15th April, before heading to Plenary Hall in Melbourne on Monday 16th April.
Employing striking visuals to accompany the music, every show will be an unforgettable concert experience for lifelong fans and newcomers alike who will be treated not only to the full majesty of Tommy, but also to a variety of Who classics and more.
Tickets on Sale Friday 16th December, 9am.
