Philly pop punk outfit The Wonder Years have cancelled their upcoming Australian headlining tour. The band were due to tour Australia this September off the back of their most recent third full-length record The Greatest Generation.
“Australia: We’re devastated to announce that we must cancel our upcoming Australian tour due to circumstances beyond our control,” wrote the band in a statement published on their Facebook page. “We appreciate all the support we’ve had over the years in Australia and are looking forward to coming back as soon as our schedule permits. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase.”
The sextet were last in the country as a part of Soundwave 2013 and quickly earned a reputation amongst fans for their thrilling live shows. Their latest studio effort completes a trilogy of records that began in 2010 with The Upsides and continued in 2011 with Suburbia I’ve Given You All and Now I’m Nothing.
