Splendour In The Grass Has Been Postponed To 2021

Splendour in the Grass has announced that this year’s festival will not be taking place, with organisers shifting the event to July 2021, with a lineup that will likely include much of this year’s planned bill.

“We have been monitoring the situation closely for the past few months and while Australia is now moving into the recovery phase, there is no timeline yet around the opening of international borders,” commented Splendour In The Grass co-producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco in a statement today.

“As a result, and with our audience interests front and centre, we must announce the reschedule to 2021 now.”

The festival will now run between 23-25 July 2021. Organisers are asking punters to retain their tickets if they wish to attend next year’s festival, with all 2020 tickets valid for Splendour in the Grass 2021. For those unable to attend new dates, Moshtix will be in contact with information regarding applying for a refund.

“We intend to rebook as many of the 2020 artists as possible and we have started to work through that process,” Ducrou and Piticco added.

“We send a huge thanks to all of our Splendour community for their support during this time, and hope you are all keeping safe and well. We also send our love to all of the music industry workers who are doing it tough at the moment. We can’t wait to see you all in 2021 for the biggest birthday celebration of all time.”

“Pre-loved tickets” for next year’s event will be available to purchase next Monday, 15th June from 12pm. For more info, head here to the Splendour in the Grass website.

Splendour in the Grass was originally scheduled to take place in July, with a lineup that included the likes of Flume, The Strokes and Tyler the Creator. Back in March, the festival was postponed for the first time, pushed back to October due to the coronavirus pandemic.
