Thom Yorke, Patti Smith & More Rock Royalty Will Perform At Climate Change Concert

Thom Yorke, Patti Smith, Flea, Dhani Harrison and others will band together to support urgent action on climate change at the Pathway to Paris concert this December, coinciding with the UN climate talks to be held in the same city.

Pathway to Paris describe themselves as “a collection of artists, activists, academics, musicians, politicians, innovators coming together to make our voices heard”. The artists will perform at Paris’ Le Trianon theater on 4th December and all ticket proceeds will be donated to the global climate movement 350.org.

Many of the artists involved in the concert are not new to climate activism. Thom Yorke and Radiohead have been known to be politically active around climate change and Yorke has regularly explored it in his music, including in his debut solo album, 2006’s The Eraser.

Pathway to Paris was founded by musician-activists Jesse Paris Smith and Rebecca Foon. The first concert took place at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge in 2014, following the People’s Climate March.

Tickets for Pathway To Paris will go on sale in September.
