Limber up your neck ’cause it’s gonna get one hell of a work-out at the 2018 Thrashville festival, which has just dropped an absolute doozy of a lineup.
The one-day boutique punk and metal bash in the NSW Hunter Valley is returning for a second instalment of circle pit mayhem in January, with rowdy sets from the likes of homegrown punk legends Frenzal Rhomb, grindcore maniacs King Parrot, sludge-punks Batpiss, lords of brutality Frankenbok, folk-infused progsters Troldhaugen, Gay Paris and more.
Following the breakout success of the debut event earlier this year, promoters say it was “abundantly clear that punk, rock and metal fans are looking for a grassroots event” and they’re happy to have a crack at making Thrashville an annual thing.
Anyone who sympathised with this Aussie metal dude’s 15-minute rant about the Download Australia 2018 lineup will probably appreciate the more punk and metal-focused lineup for next year’s Thrashville.
The “slightly heavier” younger sister to the annual Dashville Skyline fest will also feature a bunch of mouthwatering food trucks, skate demos on the Dashville half pipe, live graffiti art and “lots of other fun times”.
