On the strength of a successful debut EP and an electric live show, Obese Records’ own Thundamentals have been announced as the main support on the upcoming Astronomy Class national tour.
Thundamentals grabbed national attention in 2008 with the genre-breaking sophistication of their self-titled EP. Worldly attention to detail and boundless creativity make this foursome an eclectic mix; unafraid to embrace hip hop’s urgency while infusing the complexity of jazz, soul and ’50’s exotica.’
Currently writing and producing their full length follow-up, Thundamentals will take a break from the studio to take their tunes on the road for a month-long trek. The Astronomy Class tour kicks off May 22nd in New South Wales before hitting Western Australia, Queensland, Tasmania and Victoria.
