We’ve heard time and time again how the adrenaline junkie, couch-jumping, man’s man Tom Cruise handles all his own stunts, but this might be new to some: in the up-and-coming feature film based on the hugely popular stage production Rock Of Ages, Cruise handles his own singing.
Casted as the unpredictable over-the-top rock star, Stacee Jaxx, Cruise (who you’ll notice has not aged a day since the 80s) opposites other heavy weights such as Cathrine Zeta-Jones, Alec Baldwin, and more in this adaptation set in the infamous rock clubs of 1980’s Los Angles – known for sex, hateful music and more sex.
As well as the tight, tight leather pants, Tom dons his best vocal chords, taking the position of lead vocalist for classics such as Bon Jovi’s Wanted Dead Or Alive, Def Leppards Pour Some Sugar On Me as well as Guns N’ Roses Paradise City. If his own singing is anything like his own stunts, then we have a very intense and awesome film ahead of us, though the production house as been careful not to include anything in their previews. A warning perhaps? Though don’t lose heart, the guy knows funny, and whether or not you dig him, Tom Cruise picks great films.
