Tommy Lee is cheering after undergoing a gnarly surgery on his right hand that has restored his ability to rip a mean stick-twirl. The Mötley Crüe drummer recently went under the knife to correct some carpal tunnel and other issues he’d developed after decades spent behind the kit.
Never one to shy away from sharing graphic images on Instagram, Lee posted a stack of gruesome AF pics of his procedure by way of celebration.

“Well kids, it’s show n tell time…” Lee captioned the post. “hope this doesn’t wreck your lunch. Only 3 weeks ago i underwent a hand surgery by @drcohenhandsurgeon He addressed 2 debilitating issues for me as a drummer, keyboard player and pretty much everything to do with my right hand.
“And yesterday was fucking monumental for me to the point of tears,” he continued. “I have my life back and my money makers. And for you drummers and musicians out there i can say it’s possible to fix!”
As well as carpel tunnel, Lee was also suffering from a Dupuytren contracture, a disorder that can cause the ring and small fingers to curl in. As a result, he was been robbed of the ability to bust his signature stick-twirl move. However, it seems the surgery has successfully fixed that right up.
The drummer will still have to spend a couple of months in rehab before he can hit the stage with Crüe again.
They last toured Australia in 2023 with Def Leppard, after which Lee was left fuming over the price of ciggies in Melbourne.
