Organisers of the ridiculously popular dance festival Tomorrowland have sent fans the world over into a lather after announcing the arrival of what looks to be a new event called TomorrowWorld. The announcement was teased yesterday on the Tomorrowland’s Facebook page and was quietly announced this morning with the release of another one of those epic promo videos, complete with a ridiculous cryptic voiceover, that the Tomorrowland gang seem so fond of.
Although details are thin on the ground at the moment, most who care to speculate are guessing this is some kind of baby brother event, possibly taking place in a non-Euro location. Rumours are flying thick and fast, with Spain, Brazil and California among the most popular suggestions. Of course, it may not be a new festival at all, but that’s what co-founders and brothers Manu and Michiel Beers seem to be pointing towards, stating their intention to tour Tomorrowland to other countries, possibly even Australia:
“It’s our ambition to organize a Tomorrowland on every continent. We have received requests for versions of Tomorrowland from all over the world… From rich Russians and Indians, to promoters in Australia, the US and South America. We will do it, but on our conditions, and only in places where we feel comfortable.”
The announcement of TomorrowWold will be music to the ears of thousands of would-be festival goers who missed out on tickets yesterday after Tomorrowland 2013 sold out at blinding speeds. This year’s Tomorrowland headliners so far include Knife Party, Tiesto, Avicii and Armin van Buuren and plenty more.
