Tones And I is getting back to her roots, taking her music to the street.
With her highly anticipated debut album Welcome To The Madhouse set for release this Friday (July 16th), Tones let fans know this week that she’s packing up the van and setting off to busk around the country once more.
The Melbourne-based performer, who achieved a staggering amount of success off the back of ‘Dance Monkey’, cut her teeth as a busker around Byron Bay. Her origins as a busker turned global superstar has almost become myth now, but for Tones, keeping that natural connection with her audience has always been a massive part of her charm.
Announcing her tour plans online, Tones revealed that she’ll be personally hitting up each fan who pre-orders Welcome To The Madhouse with details on where to catch her over the next month.
“I will be personally texting everyone who pre-orders 24 hours before I busk,” she said.

Welcome To The Madhouse has already seen the release of singles ‘Cloudy Day’, ‘Fly Away’ and the ghoulish-ly entertaining ‘Won’t Sleep’.
Recently, Tones was named the world’s #1 streamed songwriter for 2020, with ‘Dance Monkey’ cracking the 2 billion mark on Spotify alone, and continuing to grow online.
