Tony Hawk, the pro skater and accidental music icon you all know and love is coming to Australia to share his deep worldly wisdom (and tips for pulling off the perfect kick-flip).
Mr. Hawk cordially invites you to an evening with himself this April, where he will share rare stories and hilarious anecdotes from his life as the most famous professional skateboarder of ALL TIME.
The feelgood speaking tour will be grinding the railings in Sydney and Melbourne only, with the official itinerary to include a live audience Q&A hosted by former Channel [V] personality and gaming enthusiast Danny Clayton, and a musical performance by Sydney’s own “unofficially official” Tony Hawk Pro Skater soundtrack cover band BIRDMAN: Or the Unexpected Virtue of a Tony Hawk Pro Skater Cover Band, with whom Hawk shares a heartwarming transcontinental bromance.
The band full of proud gaming nuts were lovingly handpicked by Hawk himself to be part of the 20th-anniversary celebrations of the THPS games in 2019 when he flew them from obscurity and onto a stage in San Diego to perform alongside punk rock icons, Bad Religion.
And these new shows will mark the band’s first time sharing a stage with T.Hawk in Australia, a country that the beloved kick-flipper has had a long and lasting love affair with, extending to earlier this year when he helped raise over $50K for the fire disaster relief effort #LEGEND
