Tool Have Now Promised To Release New Music In 2019

Will this saga ever end?

In the latest episode of ‘Where The Fuck Is Tool‘s Next Album?’, Maynard James Keenan has now said that it looks like we won’t be seeing any new music until 2019.

Maynard attended the Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards in London on Monday night and, during his acceptance speech, spoke about how hard the band has been working.

“I wouldn’t be here without you guys, so thank you very much for all that,” he said. “A lot of work’s being done, a lot of work’s been done. I’ll go on record now saying you’re gonna see some new music next year.”

This directly conflicts with a previous statement that drummer Danny Carey gave to MetalSucks podcast about the album everyone’s waiting on, where he simply said, “It’ll be out. It’ll be out in 2018”.

Of course, the band’s last album 10,000 days was released all the way back in 2006.

We don’t know what to believe anymore, but you can watch Maynard’s statement below.
