Tool have entered the studio to start work on their long-awaited fifth album and the proof has finally arrived.
Guitarist Adam Jones has shared a sneak peek from the studio showing the band working with engineer ‘Evil Joe Barresi’.
The videos show that the band is recording their album in analog which is a similar process to what they used on their previous albums.
Unfortunately Jones didn’t share any sound with fans saying that he didn’t want to, “spoil the fun.”
After 12 years of waiting for this album, you’d think they could give us at least a few seconds but nothing ever comes easily when it comes to Tool.
At the beginning of this month, the band shared a statement on Facebook revealing that they had moved back into the studio to start work on the record.
They’ve given us very few clues as to what to expect from the record but Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello previously said that it sounds, “epic, majestic, symphonic, brutal, beautiful, tribal, mysterious, deep, sexy and VERY Tool”.
No word on when to expect the album just yet.
