Touch Sensitive & Ego Unveil #VJUKE Crowd-Sourced AV Track

Back in October, Touch Sensitive and Ego announced their collaboration with Nissan JUKE to create the world’s first audiovisual track made entirely from fan-submitted Instagram videos, and now the highly danceable, Hacienda-infused AV results can be viewed by readers below.

The campaign leading up to the track’s release saw Instagram users creating their own short-form videos centred around “specific audio and visual themes” and hash-tagging the clips #VJUKE, to subsequently be sampled and used by the two creative maestros in the completion of a new track.

The pair unveiled their world-first creation at an exclusive synchronised AV performance at Westside Warehouse in Melbourne on 21st November, streamed live online, subsequently uploading the song and accompanying video to YouTube, with the track officially launching on iTunes later this month.

Some of the first to experience the project were those who had a part in making it. The creators of the videos used in the final track were personally invited to experience the 180-degree audio-visual event, as the track played via a bespoke sound system in the back of two Nissan JUKE vehicles.

“It was a big challenge and a really fun project to work on,” said Touch Sensitive. “Ego and I received some great submissions and without ever really knowing what to expect next, the track just kept evolving – we’re both really happy with the result.”
