The Perch Creek Family Jugband have announced the release of their second studio album, Jumping On The Highwire, slated for release Wednesday, 19th March, and to celebrate they’re embarking on an extensive run of dates to introduce more folks to the “psychedelic jug band” sound.
The songwriting process for Jumping On The Highwire was the band’s most collaborative yet, with all five members of The Perch Creek Family Jugband sharing lyric writing duties, unlocking a new creativity in the group and unleashing unexpected new musical twists and turns.
Morning Harvey April East Coast Tour
To celebrate the release of their new single, Girl Euphoria (Come Back To Me), the follow-up to moody Brisbane five-piece Morning Harvey‘s 2012 debut EP, Well for Wishes, the band have announced a quick run of East Coast headline dates kicking off this April.
While the single still bears the trademarks of the Morning Harvey sound, including plenty of sonic ’90s throwbacks, the track also marks a new direction for the outfit, introducing novel percussive rhythms, shoegaze-y leads, and a driving bass line, with plenty of feedback to boot.
