There’s a wealth of homegrown talent spanning the entire genre spectrum in today’s exciting Tour Guide, with new announcements coming from newly reformed homegrown fuzz rock heroes The Scientists, up-and-comer Citizen Kay, the raucous Drunk Mums, and the quirky young Chela.
The Scientists 35th Anniversary Tour
Icons of Australian garage rock The Scientists launched their reunion tour in Perth last week to rave reviews, having hooked a new generation of fans on their pub-bred brand of fuzzed-out cro-magnon rock at All Tomorrow’s Parties‘ well-received Release The Bats event in Melbourne last year.
From humble beginnings in Perth, The Scientists are now regarded as one of rock’s most influential groups. The band’s original lineup — Kim Salmon, James Baker, Rodney Radalj, Boris Sujdovic — will hit the road this March to celebrate their 35th anniversary as an Australian rock institution.

Drunk Mums Plastic Tour
Cairns-bred, Melbourne-based punk rock crowd-destroyers Drunk Mums have returned with a new single and music video in tow and it’s been dubbed Plastic. To celebrate this new release, the band are hitting the road to embark on a national tour, which is set to include a string of regional shows.
Plastic combines the band’s ’70s-style jangle pop and pure Aus-rock stylings with an anthemic, ear-worm chorus. Following rampages through pubs and clubs across the country, Drunk Mums are sitting atop a pile of new fans eager to hear more of what this swiftly rising outfit has in store.
