Triple j Breakfast boys Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton have doubled down on their annual ARIA Awards shenanigans by staying home and sending two deadset lookalikes to tonight’s ceremony at Sydney’s Star Event Centre.
After confusing almost everyone by sneaking a few artist lookalikes into the ARIAs last year, the duo decided to step things up by sending triple j listeners Callum and Luke to this year’s event, subtly disguised as the Breakfast radio pair.
Before it all went down, Luke practised his Deagle-weilding while Callum dressed in his best Ben-esque attire:
When it came down to the crunch, the boys made it into the ARIAs, and were soon being interviewed by members of the media, who we hope were just playing along…
And Callum Ben was soon posting from the inside!
What a classic stitch up.
This year’s ARIA Awards were dominated by Amy Shark and late Indigenous artist Gurrumul, who both claimed four awards apiece.
