Triple J ‘House Party’ Host KLP & News Reader Brooke Boney Are Leaving The Station

Triple j ‘House Party’ host KLP and Breakfast news reader Brooke Boney have announced they are leaving the station at the end of 2018.

KLP (Kristy Lee Peters) says goodbye to triple j following five years and plenty of late-night party vibes. She also publicly announced her pregnancy back in October.

A new ‘House Party’ host is yet to be announced.

“Five years flies when you’re having a ball partying with Australia every Saturday night,” says Peters.

“I grew up listening to triple j and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would one day be the host of a show that is full of so much music and good energy.

“While I love being on the radio, writing and performing music of my own has always been my number one love, and I’ve decided to step back so I have more time to focus on that. I’ve been working away on some exciting releases that I can’t wait to share with you in 2019.”

Meanwhile, Brooke Boney is moving on to another undisclosed role at the ABC, and will be replaced by Hack reporter Alice Matthews.

“I’m really going to miss waking up with all of you and my lovely mates Ben and Liam but I’m super excited to be working on some new stuff across other parts of the ABC,” says Boney.

“I have always been a triple j listener and (like many of you) feel like it formed a big part of who I am today, so it’s been a real honour.”

KLP’s ‘Venus x Mars’ national tour continues into December.
