Here Are Triple J Unearthed’s 50 Most Played Acts Of 2017

Yesterday, triple j unveiled its top 50 most played artists of the year and now triple j Unearthed has followed suit with its list.

The digital sister station spent the day counting down their top 50 artists which could also double as a list of who is going to be huge next year.

The list was topped by Alex The Astronaut who made big waves this year with her second EP See You Soon. She also delivered a stunning Like A Version over on triple j.

She was followed by Sydney producer MUTO, Adelaide all-rounder Lonelyspeck and South Australian duo Heaps Good Friends. triple j Unearthed High winner Arno Faraji also made an appearance in the list.

triple j crunched the numbers and found that 56 per cent of the list is female while the majority of the artists come from NSW.

To put the list in perspective, last year it was topped by Alex Lahey who released her debut album I Love You Like A Brother and made her late night TV debut in the US.
